Teague is running my brain

Finally I have something to write about. I've been suffering from a bit of writers block but I've pushed through and Ashes to Ashes the next book in my Chaos Illusions series is back on the move.

I thought you might want to meet the hero of book two so here is Teague, a tortured soul set to burn.

Don't forget to check out book one Beautiful Lie available for Amazon Kindle now.

Driving me NUTS!!!

So a quick question: What do you do when you start a series off as a paranormal romance but you're writing the second book and the characters refuse to tell their story as a romance?

It looks like you get forced to write the way you want to when the characters won't be forced into being told as a story the people around you want to read. I've been trying to force them to my way of thinking for weeks and now have given up and am just letting the characters tell the story they want. To tell you all the truth, I like it. This is definitely more my style.

I guess I just was never designed to write romance. I don't think I was designed to read it either but I like the stories, I just find my self rolling my eyes a lot and skipping bits that have nothing to do with the story. Oh well, maybe it's just me  but I think romance is something that can't be defined, it's not candles and roses those are things. It is most definitely not sex, that's just a really fun way to pass some time but has nothing to do with love or romance. Romance is different for different people and it's the little things, a word spoken in the right place, a deed done, a remembered word. It's chickens for valentines day, don't ask but it was very cute and very romantic....lol.

Well, that's me and a few of my thoughts for the day. Odd, different and absolutely me, the person who thinks all this new age shite is over rated and believes a man should be a man. Chivalry was invented before all the pussy new age stuff and now it's dead. so what does that tell all us women?

Inspiration for Characters

It's been a long time since I was here been busy starting up the next book in the Chaos Illusions series and writing for a character I play on FB. So much writing and so much fun.

I've also been hard at work creating some pictures of the characters from Beautiful Lie so that you all can see who gets the closest to what I see in my head. Yeah, when I get bored I get even more creative and I do love making my pictures up.

This is just a quickie post because I have to get going soon and actually do something constructive in the real world. Oh sometimes that is just depressing. Enjoy the pics.

When Karma steps up

Short excerpt from Beautiful Lie:

“You're welcome, now everyone, get out of here. Evangeline sent me to clean up this place and in one minute anything that's still breathing in here won't be any more.” She walked past everyone to stand in the hallway.
Jax heard movement and looked toward the noise Wraith had come to and was pulling herself across the floor toward Ratcliffe's body. She reached out before Jax could move Caris away and start toward her, grabbing Ratcliffe's ankle with a smile for Jax she disappeared.
Shit! That woman needed to be ended in the fire storm from hell that was coming. Jax looked back over his shoulder and saw Karma standing over Slone, no one else was left they had all followed orders and gotten out. If it was one thing they all knew about Karma she was five cans short of a six pack and would take them all out with this place if they didn't follow orders.
Karma winked at him as she raised her hands from her sides, the only person she was protecting was Slone who also happened to be the only person she would let near the glade she lived in. He saw her starting to glow, the heat she was generating flowing from her in waves, she was giving him warning to get out and he was going to listen. Grabbing hold of Caris he curled himself around her protectively and teleported out as flames spewed from Karma and over them.
