Driving me NUTS!!!

So a quick question: What do you do when you start a series off as a paranormal romance but you're writing the second book and the characters refuse to tell their story as a romance?

It looks like you get forced to write the way you want to when the characters won't be forced into being told as a story the people around you want to read. I've been trying to force them to my way of thinking for weeks and now have given up and am just letting the characters tell the story they want. To tell you all the truth, I like it. This is definitely more my style.

I guess I just was never designed to write romance. I don't think I was designed to read it either but I like the stories, I just find my self rolling my eyes a lot and skipping bits that have nothing to do with the story. Oh well, maybe it's just me  but I think romance is something that can't be defined, it's not candles and roses those are things. It is most definitely not sex, that's just a really fun way to pass some time but has nothing to do with love or romance. Romance is different for different people and it's the little things, a word spoken in the right place, a deed done, a remembered word. It's chickens for valentines day, don't ask but it was very cute and very romantic....lol.

Well, that's me and a few of my thoughts for the day. Odd, different and absolutely me, the person who thinks all this new age shite is over rated and believes a man should be a man. Chivalry was invented before all the pussy new age stuff and now it's dead. so what does that tell all us women?
