Griffen by A.J. Blakemont Review!

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

I found Griffen hard to get into, it jumped right into an action scene but still straight after that it started moving at what felt like a snails pace. Yeah, it was good to find out all about how Griffen came to be but really she just seemed really needy and kinda dull. I personally prefer something that is a bit more gripping but I'm positive that this type of story would be up a lot of peoples alley. I say give it a try I may be just expecting too much. It does have a rich mythology and makes this world seem completely possible. So give it a read and make up your own mind don't just take my feelings at face value.

Hunter by Sarai Henderson Review!

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

Hunter will peak your interest right from the start. It is a very interesting Urban Fantasy story with characters that will either love or love to hate depending on who they are. I found that I had trouble putting the book down even when I really had to because I just really had to find out what was going to happen next. The only thing that had me sulking a little was that it was over too quickly and left me wanting more and to find out what else could have happened to the characters. No matter what this is a highly recommended read that is a great way to spend an afternoon or a few days depending on the time you have. It was an intriguing and action filled read that comes with a big two thumbs up from this reader.

Resistance by Mikhaeyla Kopievsky Review!

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

I loved Resistance! It was well written, the characters were amazing and the story was awesome. What a difference a day makes in the life of the main character. The world is well built and I could see so well the way these people lived and was with them all the way with their need for freedom. I was impressed with everything about this book and can't wait to read the next installment. I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates a good dystopian tale.

With fist held high in the air. "RESISTANCE!"

Love You to Death by Caroline Mitchell Review.

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

I have never read any of Caroline Mitchell's other work but after reading this book I will definitely be delving into her other books. I found that the story managed to grip you from the beginning and kept you wanting to read more to find out what would happen next. Even though it was not classed as a romance there was just enough energy between Ruby and Nathan and Ruby and Downes that you find yourself voting for which one would end up winning the girl. Much like everyone else I was hoping that she would come to her senses and realize that there had to be a way to be with Nathan. 'Lucy' the main bad guy was a nasty piece of work but she is why I gave the book 4/5 stars, I found that she was a little flat and the way it ended was a little boring compared to the rest of the book. The other things that are going on throughout the story make you take less notice of the fact that 'Lucy' needs a bit more oomph. The rest of the characters are well thought out and very likable or the type of character that you love to hate (cough cough Lenny cough cough). You get really good background on the characters which gets you really attached to them and gives you a really good understanding of why they are what they are. All in all I really enjoyed the read and would recommend it to anyone who wants to read something that keeps you hanging till the end to find out the who done it. Two thumbs up for this one.

Little Heaven by Nick Cutter Review

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

I found the first little bit of this book tended toward being a little boring but if you push through it does pick up and become more interesting. Unfortunately I would have to say that it is not the kind of book that managed to make me not want to roam around in the dark. However, looking at it through the eyes of someone who hasn't read too much horror and has high expectations I would have to say that it was well written and the characters were well fleshed out. I haven't read any of Nick Cutters other books and from what I've heard he is an amazing horror writer and I could well believe it. I have not been put off and want to delve into his other books to see just how good he is. This book does have some very good and gory horror scenes and the story all up is interesting and well thought out, to me and probably only me it just didn't seem to pop. I say that this is one of those books that each individual needs to read and judge for themselves as there are bound to be more readers that would find this book awesome rather than so-so. So give it a go and don't let others influence how you feel about things. To sum up in my honest opinion Little Heaven is worth giving a read just remember to push through the first little bit to find the warm and slippery innards.

Eat, Slay, Luzt by Jillian Stone Review

~ ~ I was given this book by the publisher via netgalley for an honest review ~ ~

All I can say is WOW was I mistaken. I bypassed this book at first because the title annoyed me and I thought there was no way it cold be good with a misspelled name. Well, yep, I was totally wrong this book is AWESOME! I loved the characters and the story was well told. The writing was great and I found myself feeling sad during a certain part (I don't want to give anything away). If you love dominant alpha males who can still be incredibly sweet and cuddly then the hero of the story is the man for you. The best thing is that even though you have he-man as the hero the heroine still manages to hold her own and not appear like a wimp who totally needs to be saved. Another thing I love is that just because the hero finds himself a chickie-babe that he falls for he doesn't change who he is and suddenly become completely pussy whipped. I highly recommend this book as a good read with a great descriptions of all the happenings. Zombies, zombies everywhere and all the fun that comes with the zombie apocalypse. I hope we get to hear more from this brave new world and it's strange new zombies, I'd like to know if Chris and Lizzy make it where they are headed. They have survived thus far but how far will they really get. Two thumbs up and more if I could find them.

Thunder Moon by Joanne Mallory Review.

~ ~I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley for an honest review~ ~

I found that this story was slightly predictable. The beginning was filled with a lot of simple day to day things that made it hard to lock my brain into reading mode. I expected a lot more of the supernatural but found that it was lacking. However I absolutely adored Murphy, then again Labs are the best dogs. All in all I did enjoy the sweet romance between Adam and Thea and would recommend this story as a good way waste an afternoon.

Moon Chosen by P.C Cast Review

I rated this book a four out of five stars, it is really a three and a half but when I was asking myself if I should round up or down I discovered that it was saved by the second half of the book so I rounded up. The beginning of the book is slow and hard to get into but if you push on it does get better and manages to peak your curiosity enough that want to keep reading. When first meeting the characters I found that I didn't much like the two main characters, they were both whiny and annoying and way to wrapped up in themselves. At one point I found myself wanting to knock both their heads together and telling them to get over themselves to see if that might knock a few brain cells into place. I actually found myself liking the bad guy a lot more and hoping he would win just so that two mains would be put out of my misery. Then things happened and both of the main characters became a hell of a lot more likable. At the same time the story picked up becoming something that could hold onto your attention and make you more curious about what was going to happen to everyone. It is well written if occasionally a bit wordy and over descriptive. The dogs in this story are just absolutely amazing and I would love to have one. The end did prod at my emotions enough that I want to know what will happen in the next book. All in all it is worth making the effort to read.

Blood Bound by Lindsay J Pryor Review

OH MY GOSH...I couldn't love this book more. It was simply amazing. I don't want to give anything away because this is one of those books, much like the rest of the series that simply has to be read for ones self to be believed. The writing is absolutely amazing and does exactly what I want every book I read to do, it grabs hold of your soul and pulls you into the world of Blackthorn. You come back in contact with old friends and old enemies, along with new friends and new enemies. This book puts you through the emotional wringer, it managed to hurt my heart, twist my gut and even affect my sleep. The end leaves you wanting more and thinking that the wait is just too long before you finally get to read the next book. There is only one problem and that is knowing that the next book is the finale, I really don't want this series to end I will miss these amazing characters too much. I have one final thing to say and this has held up since his first appearance in this series...I ADORE CALEB! I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series as a read that will keep you coming back for more from this amazing author.
